Welcome to San Francisco Vocational
Services'
Job Resource Library
Currently, our Job Resource Library is equipped with 3 Pentium-level computers, networked to access both the internet via fast-ISDN and laser printing. FAX machine, magnified swing-arm lamp and hi-intensity swing-arm lamps, and dedicated telephone line are available. All outgoing job-seeking materials, such as resumes and thank-you notes are mailed first-class, at no cost to the Job Seeker. Both Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape are available for your browsing needs. For those requiring screen-enlargement, all computers are capable of running ZoomText Plus!, and those requiring voice-synthesis have access to JAWS 3.3 through DoubleTalk Lite synthesizers.
For those requiring Closed-Circuit Television, we have a CCTV with reverse contrast available for reading textural materials such as job postings, newspapers, etc.
SFVS receives postings on a daily basis from:
Private Sector Business
Non-profit Organizations
Educational Facilities
Public Utilities
City and County Entities
EDD (Employment Development Department)
SFVS maintains a comprehensive bookmark of job seeking resources on each Job Resource Library Computer. Follow this link if you would like to access a fully functional list of links.
