VOCATIONAL EVALUATION  A "Pre-program" Assessment

bulletNever had a job, want to work -- don't know what you can do?
bulletNo career direction, only vague ideas of what you like doing?
bulletDon't know if the skills you have are marketable?
bulletDoes a disability keep you from being employed?
bulletLost about where to start?  Who to talk to?  Where to turn?

IF THIS IS YOU, SAN FRANCISCO VOCATIONAL SERVICES CAN HELP!

SFVS offers opportunity to identify your personal interests and strengths through
VOCATIONAL EVALUATION

During your evaluation period:

bulletExperience a variety of diagnostic and learning tools:  oral directions, academic achievement, occupational office simulation, computer skills assessment
bulletDiscover your interests, strengths, aptitudes and physical tolerances
bulletTalk one-to-one with the Vocational Evaluator who will help you analyze results and point you in new directions, with new options

At the end of evaluation, meet with your SFVS Program Coordinator, Instructor and Vocational Counselor.  Discuss testing outcomes and identify your career direction.  If you desire to receive training at SFVS, a course curriculum is agreed upon, an individualized training program is designed,  and a training start-date is determined.

Once you begin your training, you attend monthly case conferences with your SFVS Program Coordinator, Instructor and Vocational Counselor.  Discuss your progress, as well as any difficulties and/or special  accomplishments.

*Alternative format testing materials are available in audio, braille and enlarged formats, as well as personal readers.  CCTV is available, as well as computer screen-enlargement software and voice synthesis.
